Quick Facts

  • Miriam started at the J in 2021
  • I have never been a Freshman in either High School or College!

The daughter of two Jewish educators, Miriam has worked in early childhood since the age of 10 when she started a backyard preschool camp, and has taught in area schools such as Shalom Yeladim and Solomon Schechter. As an early childhood consultant, she has guest lectured at Columbia University and aided programs in their pandemic responses to the COVID-19 crisis. Most recently she has been the founding Director of the Deborah Koenig ECC in Rockland, building a community of engaged young families with a strong connection to their JCC.

I help create communities of kindness, and build a foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Miriam and her husband Tom live in Bogota with their three youngest children who attend the Academies at Gerrard Berman Day School in Oakland, NJ. Miriam is thrilled to be returning to her home JCC to support the next generation of kind, creative, curious learners!
