Who We Are
Palisades Aces is heading into third year as a program, and we couldn’t be more pumped for what’s ahead! Our program is growing fast, and this season we are planning to have a 17U, 16U, and a 15U team!
Last season was one for the books. We competed at 9 tournaments across two teams.
For multi day tournaments our teams went to:
- Nike Sports Fest – Providence Rhode Island
- Nike North Atlantic Championships – Hartford CT
- AAU Garden State Grand Prix – Denville NJ
For single day tournaments we played:
- New York State
- Northern and Central NJ
- Eastern PA
Palisades Aces is a nonprofit volleyball club committed to nurturing the athletic and personal growth of middle and high school boys and girls across northern New Jersey and Southern New York. Our mission goes beyond building elite volleyball talent, we strive to shape well-rounded individuals by instilling values and skills that empower them to become tomorrow’s leaders.

2025/2026 Club Season Information
Club/Travel Program Overview
Our Club/Travel program is open to girls and boys ages 14 to 17. Age eligibility is based on the player’s age as of July 1st each year. Whatever age a player is on that date determines their age group (players may also be considered to “play up” in some cases).
Tryouts & Team Placement
- Players are required to attend scheduled tryouts/ make-up tryouts.
- All athletes are evaluated during tryouts, and team offers are sent via email.
- Every player will receive notification regarding their placement, whether they make a team or not.
Practices
- Teams practice twice a week on weekdays, beginning as early as 6:00 PM.
- Girls’ team practices begin the week after the NJSIAA playoffs conclude (Mid November) and continue through March – May, depending on the team.
Tournaments & Competitions
- Tournaments begin in January and run through each team’s club season.
- We aim to provide competitive tournament opportunities each month.
- Tournament participation depends on acceptance by the event organizers; we apply to high-level events but may not be accepted into every one.
Types of Tournaments:
- Single-Day Tournaments
- Typically held on Saturdays* or Sundays
- Usually last a full day
- Most are within a 90-minute drive
- Tri-Matches / Scrimmages*
- Typically last half a day
- Also held on weekends
- Multi-Day Tournaments*
- Often held over holiday weekends (e.g., Presidents Day, Easter, Memorial Day)
- Usually span 2–3 days (Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday)
- Teams play on all scheduled days
*We fully respect and accommodate absences due to the observance of Shabbat.
Tournament schedules will be posted on each team’s group chat and communicated to players and parents once finalized by GEVA, AAU, and/or third-party organizers.
