Repair the World
Repair the World at the Kaplen JCC mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action in pursuit of a just world. We believe that service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. As part of a national Jewish service movement, we provide meaningful opportunities for service and learning that strengthen connections to Jewish values and deepen relationships across lines of difference.
Among participants, 68% reported a greater sense of belonging in the Jewish community, 59% became more actively engaged in broader Jewish life, 75% expressed an ongoing commitment to service in pursuit of a just world.
Join us in building a flourishing community that serves together.
National Days of Jewish Service
Repair the World’s National Days of Jewish Service bring Jewish communities together at meaningful moments throughout the year. Through hands-on service and Jewish learning, volunteers respond to community needs and put Jewish values into action.
As part of the National Days of Jewish Service, the Kaplen JCC community will come together to honor the memory of those lost on 9/11 and show appreciation for our local first responders. Teens are invited to serve on October 5, and families on October 6, as we assemble care kits for those who work every day to keep our communities safe.
