Palisades Players: Community Theater

The JCC has established a primarily Non-Equity performance ensemble, the Palisades Players, an inspirational new home for professional, preprofessional and highly experienced theater artists. As a new community theater serving talent from throughout Northern New Jersey to NYC and Broadway, Palisades Players will showcase quality theatrical events, primarily featuring works that illustrate Jewish culture and tradition and celebrate the work of Jewish playwrights.

Performance Workshop, led by the JCC Performing Arts Director Deb Roberts, features an intermediate/advanced ensemble of young actors, in very funny musical, based on Damon Runyan stories, about a group of New York City friends, the jokes they play on one another, and the crazy tricks they play on the cops in the 1920’s and 30’s. The cast features Gaby Beck, Joy Mei Damato, Hannah Dubroff, Eliya Eini, Dan Harel, Jason Levin, Keren Makleff, Joshua Mendez, Alexandra Osterwalder, Jacob Shanker, Judah Widzer, Ziv Zaifman. Many of these young actors have managers and are auditioning professionally in NYC for theater, TV and film roles

Advanced Musical Theater Workshop, led by the JCC Performing Arts Director Deb Roberts, will present a newly-adapted version of Wicked – the Broadway sensation about two unlikely friends, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda, who compete for magical powers and the Wizard’s attention. Features everyone’s favorite characters from the Wizard of Oz. The cast: Francesco Bettinardi, Scott Bravman, Molly Kramer, Jason Kamil, Katherine Leschner, Liat Marom, Rachel Pleva, Gili Zaifman, Roni Feldman and Storm Zafrir  Winged Monkeys.
