Alyssa Schiffman

Alyssa is an experienced non-profit professional who has spent almost 15 years working with the boards of mission-centered higher education institutions, including Barnard College in New York City and DePaul University in Chicago. She is a passionate proponent of good governance practices and seeks the best way to engage individual board members to help them perform their critical fiduciary and service responsibilities.
I assist the board with their important fiduciary and service responsibilities.
Her accomplishments include designing and implementing a thorough on-boarding process that encompasses the first year of board service and transitioning two boards to sustainable and effective paperless meetings. Alyssa has a BA in Communication and Public Policy and a MS in Public Service (Nonprofit) Management, both from DePaul University. She is excited to be a part of the JCC and to be of service to the community where she has made her home for the past few years.
