Quick Facts

  • Sue has season tickets to the WNBA's New York Liberty and the NWSL's NY/NJ Gotham.
  • Sue started working at the JCC in 1992

As the Chief Engagement Officer, Sue is responsible for managing the JCC’s operations through the lens of engagement of our staff, lay leadership, participants and the wider community. Sue is directly supervising Human Resources and supporting the work of Early Childhood Center and Membership Services. In addition to these operational pieces, Sue is leading our engagement with the wider community and developing relationships with community partners for additional opportunities at and beyond the JCC.

My favorite projects at the JCC were overseeing the capital project 2008-2011 that renovated or expanded the majority of the building and serving as Games Director when we hosted the JCC Maccabi Games in 2003 for 1700 Jewish teenagers and 10,000 guests. Looking ahead I am most excited about our efforts to engage with the wider community.

Sue worked at the JCC previously for a total of 23 years serving as Chief Operating Officer, Program Director, Day Camp Director, and Youth Director. Most recently, Sue was the Chief Program and Talent Officer at JCC Association of North America overseeing all of the signature programs and launching JCC Talent, the continental support for JCC professionals. Sue was also the Vice President of Community Services with an international fitness management company and worked with JCCs, universities, and community centers.
