Quick Facts

  • Sue has season tickets to the WNBA's New York Liberty and the NWSL's NY/NJ Gotham.
  • Sue started working at the JCC in 1992

As the Chief Executive Officer, Sue works in partnership with the Board of Trustees and the professional leadership team to guide the JCC to its greatest potential  as a home for joyful Jewish experiences, the center of the Jewish community, a welcoming home to the expansive Jewish community, strong supporter of Israel and the local Israeli community, and a partner to the wider community building bridges and disrupting tensions.

My favorite projects at the JCC were overseeing the capital project 2008-2011 that renovated or expanded the majority of the building and serving as Games Director when we hosted the JCC Maccabi Games in 2003 for 1,700 Jewish teenagers and 10,000 guests.

Sue worked at the Kaplen JCC for the large majority since 1992 serving as Chief Engagement Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Program Director, Day Camp Director, and Youth Director.  Sue also served as the Chief Program and Talent Officer at JCC Association of North America overseeing all of the signature programs and launching JCC Talent, the continental support for JCC professionals; and as Vice President of Community Services with an international fitness management company and worked with JCCs, universities, and community centers.
