Hosting Shlichim

Every summer, Israeli Shlichim (ambassadors) join the Neil Klatskin Summer Camps team, bringing the vibrancy of Israel to life. These carefully chosen and extensively trained young adults enrich each camper’s experience by fostering personal connections to Israel and integrating Israeli culture into the camp environment.

Through their dedication, enthusiasm, and innovative methods, they cultivate a deeper appreciation of the campers’ ties to the Jewish homeland. Hosting a Shaliach is an incredible chance to introduce your children to Israeli culture and forge lasting connections.

This summer, the JCC will bring 12 Shlichim into our community from June 16 – August 16 to work in our fabulous summer camp. We invite you to take part and to consider hosting one of these amazing Shlichim for 2 weeks or more in your house. They will bring a taste of Israel into your home and family life, good energy and fun, while you provide them with a home far away from home.

Shlichim Hosting Opportunity

The JCC will offer hosts the following:

• A personal representative from the JCC Israeli Center to answer any questions
• JCC Family membership for the hosting period or $30 JCC Cash per every hosting week

The JCC will provide the Shlichim with:

• Transportation to and from the airport and to and from camp
• Meals during camp

Hosting families will provide the Shlichim with:

• A warm and welcoming home, where they will be treated as a part of your family
• Private sleeping arrangements for one or more Shlichim
• Meals beyond camp hours
