“Hebrew in Hebrew” – HSL for ages 3-8

Parents, please note that the programs on this page are intended for children who do not understand Hebrew and serve as their initial exposure to the language. If your children understand Hebrew but do not communicate back in Hebrew, please register them for the Efrohim or Haverim program, or contact us to schedule a consultation meeting.

“Hebrew Through Hebrew” – Preschool Program (Ages 3-4)

The Hebrew Through Hebrew program is designed for preschool-aged children (ages 3–4) with little to no prior exposure to Hebrew. This program introduces children to basic Hebrew vocabulary while connecting them to Jewish and Israeli culture.
Classes focus on topics familiar to young children—such as colors, shapes, animals, and family—and complement what they are already learning in preschool. Throughout the year, children will also celebrate Jewish holidays in Hebrew.
Students will be exposed to Israeli children’s literature and beloved classics, Hebrew songs, and engaging movement and art activities. Lessons are delivered in a fun, creative, and interactive way that encourages children to actively participate and enjoy the Hebrew learning experience.
The “Hebrew Through Hebrew” class includes 32 sessions, 50 minutes each, held on Tuesdays from 3:45–4:35 PM.

“Journey in Hebrew” – Level A (HSL)
For Kindergarten-2nd Grade

This program is designed for children in Kindergarten and 1st grade who are new to Hebrew. It marks the beginning of their journey in building Hebrew language skills, developing vocabulary, speaking, reading, and writing.
The program includes 32 sessions (90 minutes each) and focuses on several core areas:

• Building vocabulary and spoken Hebrew 
• Experiential introduction to the Hebrew alphabet (letter recognition, reading, and writing) 
• Learning about the Jewish-Israeli calendar and holidays 

We use the structured and professional Niflaot curriculum developed by Center for Educational Technology (CET), which combines engaging, hybrid learning methods. Content is delivered in a dynamic and creative way that makes children active participants in their Hebrew learning journey.
The “Journey in Hebrew – Level A ” class includes 32 sessions, 90 minutes each, held on Tuesdays from 3:50-5:20 PM.

Journey in Hebrew – Level B (HSL)
For Kindergarten-4th Grade

Level B is a natural continuation of the Hebrew journey and is designed for children who already have basic familiarity with Hebrew letters and vocabulary.
In this program, students will:

• Develop reading fluency and comprehension using age-appropriate texts 
• Strengthen writing skills—from words to short sentences and self-expression 
• Reinforce mastery of letters, ניקוד (vowel system), and language patterns 
• Expand vocabulary through games, songs, and interactive activities 
• Explore Jewish holidays and the Israeli calendar in a meaningful, culturally rich way 

The program is supported by the continuation workbooks of the Niflaot curriculum by Center for Educational Technology (CET), and emphasizes experiential, creative, and engaging learning.
The “Journey in Hebrew – Level B” For Kindergarten-2nd Grade class includes 32 sessions, 90 minutes each, held on Tuesdays from 3:50-5:20 PM.
The “Journey in Hebrew – Level B” For 3rd-4th Grade class includes 32 sessions, 90 minutes each, held on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM.
