Project Heroes, also known as the “Jewish Heroism Experience for Humanity”, seeks to shift the narrative of the Jewish people from one of victimhood to one of heroism. It aims to redefine the principles and values of Jewish heroism, which have been uniquely shaped over time.

Join Israeli singer-songwriter, musician, and Project Heroes visionary Gilad Segev for The Hero Within, an interactive experience created to help teens explore courage, resilience, Jewish identity, and what it means to stand up for who you are.

Launched with the October 7th Heroes Commemoration program, the Heroes Project has quickly made a significant impact. This event highlights Jewish heroes of all time, from the biblical eras to recent times, showcasing the greatest heroism stories and its modern reflections.

Jewish heroism is a special kind of heroism, with unique characters that reappeared along time. It has persisted throughout history, from the times of Abraham and Moses to the present day, exemplified by figures like King David, the Maccabees. Unlike the cinematic action heroes that blast blindly with machine guns their enemies, The Jewish heroism is rooted in a commitment to freedom, equality, peace, and morality, Jewish heroism refrains from conquering others and fosters harmony. This form of heroism extends beyond survival, contributing significantly to humanity’s future survival.

Project HEROES is a nonprofit initiative working to shift the Jewish narrative from victimhood to heroism. Through educational and artistic programs, Project HEROES seeks to strengthen Jewish pride, inspire resilience, and empower a new generation to stand confidently in the face of rising antisemitism.
Its long-term vision is bold yet simple: to help make hero one of the first words people around the world associate with the Jewish people.

About Gilad Segev

Gilad Segev is an internationally acclaimed Israeli musician whose chart-topping music and global Passerby project have reached millions around the world.
When the attacks of October 7 unfolded, Gilad returned home to Israel in the middle of a global tour, deeply moved by the extraordinary courage, strength, and unity he witnessed throughout the country. He soon launched Project HEROES, using music and art to honor everyday Israelis who displayed remarkable bravery and to create a force for remembrance, healing, and resilience.

The mission is deeply personal for Gilad. His family story includes his mother, a Holocaust survivor, and his brother, who fell during his IDF service and inspired Gilad’s iconic song Achshav Tov. In recent months, the song has re-emerged as a powerful anthem of unity and resilience throughout Israel.
