Ride for the Living (RFTL) is an annual bike ride from Auschwitz-Birkenau to the JCC in Krakow, Poland. Thousands gather to commemorate those lost, as well as celebrate the rebirth of Jewish life in Poland.

Start your morning with one of three 40-min inspiring rides led by our rockstar JCC instructors:

  • 8 AM with Suzanne Aleksic
  • 9 AM with Michael O-Reilly – Springsteen Ride: Ride to the powerful sounds of Springsteen, honoring Steve Rogers.
  • 10 AM with Hagit Tal

Together, we unite our Jewish communities both here in New Jersey and in Krakow, Poland. We will never forget.

About the Ride for the Living

The Ride for the Living is an annual 60-mile bike ride through the Polish countryside, from Auschwitz-Birkenau to the JCC in Krakow. The ride commemorates the Holocaust and Jewish history, in addition to celebrating and supporting the miraculous rebirth of Jewish life in Poland today.

Register for this not-to-be-missed experience while supporting the JCC in Krakow and Holocaust education and awareness at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades.

The ride is sponsored by the Rubach Family and is named for Leon Rubach z”l, who survived the Holocaust as a hidden child in Poland. Proceeds support the JCC in Krakow, Poland and Holocaust education and awareness at the Kaplen JCC.

Hear from Jojo and Jason Rubach, the sons of Leon Rubach.  They explain why the Ride for the Living is so meaningful to their family and our community as a whole.
