For 25 summers, we’ve come together to Play Fore! The Kids. 🏌️♂️🏌️♀️🏌️
Founded by Michael Kollander, JoJo Rubach, and Barry Zeller, this beloved tradition has raised crucial funds so children in our community can experience the magic of our JCC — no matter their circumstances.
This year’s 25th anniversary was led by Bri Mankovsky, Josh Weingast, and Brian Zeller. Each year brings new faces, games, auctions, and entertainment, but one thing never changes: our shared purpose. Whether you played golf or tennis, sponsored a tee, bought a ticket, donated auction items, purchased raffle tickets, danced, laughed, or simply showed up —you made a difference.
Because of your generosity, children in our community receive:
- A safe haven and secure facilities amid the troubling rise in antisemitism
- Shadows and aides for children with special needs in our Leonard and Syril Rubin ECC and Neil Klatskin Summer Camps
- Academic support for newly arrived Israeli children through our Heart to Heart program
- Mental health services for students in our School of Performing Arts and other programs
This year, our ask went even further — to support a group of young people who give us far more than we could ever give them: our Israeli Shlichim.
Every summer, they bring Israeli culture to camp — teaching Hebrew words of the week, leading camp-wide Shabbat celebrations, and filling our mornings with dance parties. We say we give them a “home for the summer” and an American camp experience, but when they leave, we’re reminded of what they truly gave us: heart ❤️, ruach ✨, hope 🌟, and unforgettable memories.
Since October 7, these young leaders have faced unimaginable challenges. It is our honor to support them — and thanks to you, we can.
