Tamar Copeland brings more than 25 years of expertise in nonprofit resource development across diverse causes, including arts and culture, education, international development, social and economic justice, women and girls, and the Jewish community. Before joining the JCC in 2025, Tamar provided consulting services to organizations around the world, helping to build infrastructure and disciplined practices to address the fundraising challenges nonprofits face today.

She has served on the executive staff of the James Beard Foundation, the Tenement Museum, the URJ, and the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village. Tamar is passionate about helping nonprofits create lasting, strategic fundraising foundations that drive long-term impact.

At the JCC, Tamar’s leadership in development ensures that funds raised from generous donors help the Center remain a vital and vibrant community resource for current and future generations.
