Discover the rich and resourceful culinary traditions of Jerusalem from the humble kitchens of the Old City to the vibrant stalls of Mahane Yehuda. This workshop is more than a cooking class; it’s an experience . A rare glimpse into the heart of Jerusalem’s kitchen.
Together, we’ll prepare some of the dishes side by side, while others you’ll watch come to life and, of course, you’ll taste everything. It’s a celebration of both austerity and abundance, simplicity and soul ,the true essence of Jerusalem on a plate.
This is a one-time event, with limited spots available, and the menu will feature dairy and pareve dishes. More workshops will open in the future, but this gathering is your chance to experience the first taste of the journey.
Chef Hanita
Born and raised in Israel, Chef Hanita grew up in a home where food and hospitality were a way of life. The table was always full, the air filled with warmth and aroma, but the kitchen wasn’t her playground back then. She only stepped into it after getting married and moving to a small apartment in Boston, far from the familiar flavors of home.
That’s where her love story with the kitchen began. Out of longing and curiosity, Hanita started cooking, recreating tastes from her childhood, and slowly developing her own voice a language of food that combines intuition, creativity, and heart.
After studying culinary arts in Israel and France, Hanita found her true calling, blending the precision of pastry with the soul of home cooking. Today, she brings all of that into her workshops and events where every dish tells a story, every aroma evokes emotion, and every shared meal becomes a celebration of connection.
Rooted in the warmth of Israeli hospitality and shaped by her international journey, Hanita’s food is a reflection of who she is generous, curious, and full of life. Every meal she creates is an invitation to connect, share, and celebrate together.
