The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades presents a doubleheader for the history books:
With an incredible work ethic, iron- man mentality and natural leadership skill as constants throughout his 16 years in the NFL, Eli Manning made a name for himself as one of the elite quarterbacks in the game. Eli will join us in a moderated discussion during the evening’s program, and we know our community will give him an enthusiastic welcome.
As part of the Sports Night celebration, two Bergen County high school seniors will be presented with the Joseph Taub Scholar Athlete Award and receive a $5,400 scholarship in recognition for their excellence in sports, school and community. The first Joseph Taub Coach of the Year award will also be presented along with an $1,800 award. These awards demonstrate the JCC’s investment in helping young people achieve their dreams. The Scholar Athlete and Coach of the Year Awards are made possible by The Joseph and Arlene Taub Foundation in memory of Joseph Taub z”l.
The Sports Hall of Fame will also honor two New Jersey students as the New Jersey JCC Scholar-Athletes of the Year. Selected from nominees from the thirteen JCC’s across the state, these awardees will, in addition to athletic and academic excellence, represent the Hall of Fame’s emphasis on community service, leadership and character. Each awardee will receive a $1,800 scholarship.
An elegant cocktail reception and a live auction with can’t-be-missed items will delight you and other sports fans in the community.
For the safety of our community, proof of Covid-19 vaccination must be provided by all attendees.
