Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a mutually beneficial partnership where consumers receive fresh, nutritious vegetables while helping to sustain the livelihoods and stewardship of regional farmers. In a CSA arrangement the farmer pre-sells “shares” of his or her farm’s upcoming harvest to individuals, families, and institutions. Hazon means vision – Hazon’s mission is to foster a healthier and more sustainable Jewish community as a step towards a healthier and more sustainable world for all. The CSA distribution for the 2020 season will run for 22 weeks: Tuesdays, June 9 through November 3, 3-7pm.
Our JCC Hazon CSA warmly welcomes Jewish and non-Jewish members.
A FULL SHARE is full amount picked up once a week. A weekly HALF SHARE contains at least half the amount of a full share. (Please note: the splitting of a share into halves is done by the JCC. CSA members who purchase a half share might not receive every kind of vegetable in the weekly distribution.) A LIMITED NUMBER OF HALF SHARES ARE AVAILABLE.
A full or half share of vegetables and the Administrative Fee are mandatory. All other items are optional.
MARCH 30, 2020 UPDATE: PLEASE EMAIL ESTHER MAZOR (email@example.com) FOR INFORMATION REGARDING REGISTRATION FOR THE CSA PROGRAM.
