Neil Klatskin Summer Camps are on-site every day at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades.
The camp field has four shaded pavilions where we hold some exciting programs and have lunch. We also have a baseball field, and space for soccer, hockey, and football. We have a sand volleyball court, tennis courts, basketball courts, our very own gaga pit, and a low ropes course with a zip line that campers as young as going into Kindergarten can enjoy. NKDC campers also get to play in all three JCC playgrounds.
One of best things of all, campers have access to three heated pools for instructional and recreational swim. In our beginner Duckie Pool, even our youngest campers can stand comfortably and use the Duckie Slide –everyone’s favorite! Mid-level swimmers use the Froggie pool (3 feet deep) to float, paddle, dunk and slide down the fun Froggie Slide. Finally, our advanced campers use the Olympic-size pool, where they learn to dive off of the diving board and strengthen their endurance by doing full laps up and down the pool. All specialty camps swim in the main pool.
Our youngest campers, 3 and 4 year olds, love the JCC splash park; which they visit daily!
Some camp activities are held in air-conditioned nursery classrooms, gyms, auditorium, and theater, as well as arts and crafts rooms, a ceramics studio and more—giving campers a break from the sun and making rainy days a breeze!
