Bergen County Kosher Nutrition Site
The Bergen County Kosher Nutrition Site is available to anyone in the community over the age of 60 years. We are open Monday-Friday, offering a hot, nutritious, kosher lunch and a chance to socialize. The Bergen County Kosher Nutrition Site was established to address the needs of older adults using a holistic approach to reduce isolation, ensure balanced nutrition, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Suggested donation of $4 per day.
The JCC maintains a resource library which features books, periodicals, articles, and an informative bulletin board highlighting recent research and up-to-date information.
Daily round-trip, door-to-door/arm-to-arm transportation in our handicapped accessible vehicles is available for our participants for a low fee of $5 per day.
This service is currently available for people living in the following towns: Bergenfield, Cliffside Park, Cresskill, Dumont, Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Fort Lee, Leonia, New Milford, Teaneck, and Tenafly. Call regarding additional areas.
This three session course has been specifically designed for individuals facing their new role as caregiver for a loved one. From the comfort of your own home, and with the use of your computer, join a community of others facing similar challenges, while learning essential information, acquiring day to day strategies, skills and learning how to properly plan for the future.
This workshop will help you to:
Recognize early warning signs of Alzheimer’s and dementia · Understand the behaviors caused by dementia and techniques on how to deal with them · Participate in a Virtual Dementia Tour · Learn the essentials from a Geriatrician and Eldercare law expert.
Once you register, simple instructions will be provided to help you sign onto the conference session.
Join us for our Younger-Onset Memory Café; a place where individuals with younger-onset memory loss and their caregivers can get support and engage with peers in a relaxed environment that promotes social engagement with others experiencing similar changes.
Third Wednesday of the month 11:30 am- 1 pm
Lunch will be provided, sponsored by The Bristal. RSVP is required.
