Geared towards those 75 years and older, this senior club enables those who would otherwise be homebound, to get out, meet new people and enjoy themselves in the company of peers. The Senior Activity Center meets each weekday, Monday-Friday, for a full day of programs. Under the supervision of a highly qualified and professional staff, SAC features a wide range of programs and activities. Additional offerings include special programs (i.e. birthday & holiday celebrations, health & wellness sessions, social games), helpful resources (i.e. referrals to social work professionals) and support services (i.e. blood pressure screenings).
An intake interview is required.
Program Participation is Free.

Programs & Activities:
This class uses light weights and rubber exercise bands to strengthen muscles. There’s only one rule – if it hurts, don’t do it.
Classes will be held in the Taub Auditiorium.
Thursdays 10-10:45 am ongoing
Boxing is all about movement, no contact. Come for a light boxing and resistance training class that will train your mind and body against diseases such as Parkinson’s and cardiopulmonary conditions.
Wednesdays 1 pm ongoing
This program offers exercises that are designed to improve muscular strength and flexibility. Using hand-held weights, resistance bands and exercise balls, he will offer a light cardio program that will also help to increase balance and coordination. This class is good for all fitness levels.
Wednesdays 10-10:45 am ongoing
Increase flexibility and strength, engage your mind and body simultaneously and ward off diseases such as Parkinson’s during this enjoyable and uplifting exercise experience.
Tuesdays, 1 pm ongoing
This class offers a total body workout regardless of fitness level. Our instructor will introduce exercises that are designed to increase cardio fitness, enhance muscular strength & flexibility and improve joint stability, balance, coordination and agility. The workout of low impact movements uses hand-held weights, all in a fun-filled and relaxed environment. Come join us and see what you can do.

For many older adults poor balance is a problem. Studies are proving that exercise can reduce not only the odds of falling but the odds of sustaining fall-related injuries. Join us as Maurice Cobb, certified NPTI for over ten years starts us off with a cardio warm-up and then guides us through exercises that are designed to strengthen your muscles and to increase balance and stability.
