The Leonard and Syril Rubin Nursery School is a licensed program that offers a flexible, developmentally appropriate approach to learning combining comfortable and consistent routines. By learning through doing each child establishes a strong sense of accomplishment. Using developmentally appropriate curriculum, we challenge students to fulfill their potential by building self-esteem and having fun.

We are proud to offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum which includes an exceptional teacher/child ratio.  Swim, gym, music, nature and Judaic programs are taught by specialists in their respective field.

Our staff is comprised of more than 60 experienced, caring CPR certified professionals, and a full time registered nurse. Our teachers hold New Jersey State teaching certification. Additionally, we have the consultation services of a school psychologist and social worker; speech and language screenings are made available to students annually. Seminars and discussion groups led by authors, psychologists and Judaic specialists are made available to parents through the year.

We offer half, three quarter, full and extended day options for two, three or five day and AM and PM extended care programs in our modern classrooms. Weekly Share-A Shabbat Shabbat Sing programs end the week.

Our pre-school provide innovative programming that allows children to explore and understand new concepts. The school’s staff of more than sixty experienced, caring and highly trained professionals (including a full time nurse), focus on social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child in a Jewish community setting. Program curriculum includes: cognitive learning, enrichment, sensory experiences, fine and gross motor skills, Judaic programming, gym, swimming, art, dramatic play, cooking, music, movement and readiness skills. Children benefit from the full range of JCC facilities and resources, including attractive, well-equipped classrooms, gymnasiums, trained physical education staff, full time nurse, an indoor swimming pool with experienced aquatic staff, music school, library, extensive outdoor facilities, and more.
