This 2 1/2 hour course will review the skills of Infant/Child/Adult CPR, as well as helping a choking victim for all ages. We will discuss what to do before the ambulance arrives. A first aid demonstration will be provided to cover the emergencies of severe bleeding, controlling shock, seizures, when to call poison control (800-222-1222), practice using an Epinephrine auto-injector, heat related burn treatment, and helping a fainting victim.
There will be some hands on skills, as well as practice time.
This a non-certified course, and will not satisfy the requirements for those that need this course for certification. The course if for informational purposes, providing you the knowledge to potentially save someone’s life.
The skills will be taught by instructors from Medequip. Medequip instructors are certified by ARC, AHA, ASHI, and ECSI, and train approximately 3,000 participants annually.
