Students swim each day at 2 pm. If the weather does not permit swimming, other recreation is planned.
The workshop concludes with a final concert where each group performs the works they have learned. This year's performance will be held Friday, August 23 at 1 pm in the JCC's Eric Brown Theater.

"I’ve gone to the JCC Chamber Music Workshop for 8 summers now, and every year has been a truly wonderful and magical experience for me. I have been able to play incredible repertoire with some of my best friends. Additionally, I have been able to work with some of the best chamber music coaches I’ve ever had. As well as being a serious place to learn repertoire, chamber music camp is an extremely fun place to play music. This camp was where I decided I wanted to be a professional musician. I am so grateful for all of the positive experiences I have gained from chamber music camp, and I believe every musician should have the experience with chamber music that I have been able to have from this camp." - Lena-Marie Stoger
“Having attended the JCC Chamber Music camp for 7 of the past 8 summers, my two children have grown up musically under the tutelage of Zoran, Steven Masi and a changing, but always fantastic, group of guest artists and coaches. Zoran has a sixth-sense for matching students with chamber music pieces at just the right level to challenge them musically and artistically. We are all looking forward to coming back for the special late-August session this summer.” - David Wallace (parent)
“My love for chamber music began at the JCC chamber music camp. The highlight of my musical year has for many years always been the final performance at JCC after an intense two weeks of practice on an always challenging piece with my friends and coaches. The one-week session in August this year fits my schedule perfectly. I wouldn’t miss it!” - Andrew Wallace,16
I attended the Thurnauer Chamber Music camp for 7 years. I started when I was 8 or 9. Playing in this camp for so many years has really made me into the musician I am today. It gave me so much chamber music experience that I really don't think I could have gotten anywhere else. Now I am at the Eastman School of Music pursuing music as a career and I am very grateful for all the learning opportunities this camp provided me over the years. This is a great program and I recommend it to any kid who loves music!”
-Mark Terentiev, music major at the Eastman School of Music
I loved being in a team and playing music with other kids. I didn't know that playing chamber music could be such fun! I learned a lot about music and how to make a great sound together in a group. Thanks to Zoran and all the great teachers there I love my violin more and more! I can't wait until next summer to see my friends and teachers again

My son’s first time being in the Thurnauer Chamber Music Camp was an incredible experience for us! My son loved playing chamber music playing, being with other kids who are equally devoted to music and who share the same interests, working with amazing, experienced teachers in a really friendly, family atmosphere, having a shared purpose to feel music together, to improve artistic skills, and to make a really professional performance at the end of camp...And they made it ..just great!! In only two weeks!!! We are back home happy and inspired for a whole year! Thank you very much, Zoran, Anton, Inna, Steven and other members of the Thurnauer team for giving our kids this opportunity to bring music to life!
