|Guest Artist Recital: Pianist Henry Sung-Ho Yang
Pianist Henry Sung-Ho Yang performs J.S. Bach's English Suite Number 3 and works by Frederic Chopin, including Marzukas, the Barcarolle and the Ballade in F Minor. About Henry Sung-Ho YangHenry Sung-Ho Yang has appeared in concert halls around the world, including solo recitals in Italy, Spain, Slovakia, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. He won second prize in the International Competition of Piano Performance Florestano Rossomandi and was awarded semifinalista medalla at the Maria Canals International Music Competition. In June of 2014, The Segye Times sponsored his solo recital appearance in Kumho Arts Hall, Seoul. Mr. Yang has performed as a concerto soloist with the University of Wisconsin, Madison Symphony Orchestra and the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra as a laureate in the Johann Nepomuk Hummel International Piano Competition. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at the New Jersey City University and is on the piano accompanist staff of the JCC Thurnauer School of Music. Mr. Yang graduated with a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in piano performance from the New England Conservatory of Music studying under Wha Kyung Byun. He received Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance (minoring in music theory) at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, advised by Christopher Taylor.
