Project Cicero Book Drive

NEW AND GENTLY USED BOOKS IN NEED FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS:

hardcover and paperback books for children and young adults (infant through 12th grade), including picture books, early readers, fiction, nonfiction, and biographies. We cannot accept textbooks, adult books, library discards, or reference books more than five years old.

Cicero collects new and gently used books to distribute to under-resourced Northern New Jersey classrooms. Visit www.projectcicero.org for more information. Project Cicero NNJ placed approximately 125,000 books in local NJ classrooms since 2013. Project Cicero NNJ is operated by Turn the Page NNJ, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and works in partnership with public, parochial, and independent schools.

NEW! Mommy/Baby Group

Having a new baby can be so amazing – and overwhelming. Find support and friendship in our new playgroup! Relax with your baby, enjoy the company of other new parents, and get advice from facilitator Ann Anderson, registered nurse and lactation consultant. Tea and coffee will be provided.


Ann Anderson has been caring for mothers and babies for over 40 years. She began her career as a public health nurse with Westchester County (NY) Department of Health where she was responsible for a comprehensive maternal and child health program including working with patients as well as training nurses to assist in and promoting breastfeeding. She taught childbirth classes (The Bradley Method) for over 25 years and prepared hundreds of women for natural childbirth, breastfeeding, and childcare. Since 1996, Ann has practiced as a certified lactation consultant (IBLCE) by addressing a wide range of difficulties experienced by mothers and babies. She has also taught classes on breastfeeding, facilitated new mothers’ support groups, and prepared professional presentations and papers. She is a mother and a grandmother.

Infant/Child CPR & First Aid

Learn prevention, recognition and treatment of first aid emergencies. Topics covered will include Infant/Child CPR and choking, common first aid emergency handling, and will include hands-on on practice on mannequins and take home resource sheets. This non-certifying course is perfect for parents, grandparents, caregivers, or anyone who is around children and wants to be prepared in the event of an emergency.
