NEW! Mommy/Baby Group

Having a new baby can be so amazing – and overwhelming. Find support and friendship in our new playgroup! Relax with your baby, enjoy the company of other new parents, and get advice from facilitator Ann Anderson, registered nurse and lactation consultant. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Ann Anderson has been caring for mothers and babies for over 40 years. She began her career as a public health nurse with Westchester County (NY) Department of Health where she was responsible for a comprehensive maternal and child health program including working with patients as well as training nurses to assist in and promoting breastfeeding. She taught childbirth classes (The Bradley Method) for over 25 years and prepared hundreds of women for natural childbirth, breastfeeding, and childcare. Since 1996, Ann has practiced as a certified lactation consultant (IBLCE) by addressing a wide range of difficulties experienced by mothers and babies. She has also taught classes on breastfeeding, facilitated new mothers’ support groups, and prepared professional presentations and papers. She is a mother and a grandmother.
