Camp dates: August 20 – 24, 2018

2018 Family Registration, Volunteer Staff Applications, and updated information will be available online March 15, 2018.

Camp Dream Street is a special, week-long day camp experience serving the social needs of children with cancer and other blood disorders. Siblings are also invited to participate in the wide variety of social and recreational activities provided at the camp.

Camp Dream Street's program has many wonderful activities including arts and crafts, sports, dance, music, nature, baking, martial arts, swimming and special daily activities, all held in age-appropriate groupings.

Starting in the summer of 1990 with 20 campers, Camp Dream Street has grown to serving over 165 campers each summer, ages 4 to 13. The primary goal is to provide a care-free week of camping fun. The only requirement for the children who attend is to have fun! There is NO CHARGE for any camper.

Camp Dream Street gives children the opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and share many exciting experiences.

Where is Camp Dream Street?
Camp Dream Street is located at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly, New Jersey. This beautiful recreational facility is situated on 29 wooded acres and includes day camp shelters, ball fields, outdoor pools, bath houses, indoor gym facilities, kitchen, first aid center and a camp building.

Who can attend?
Camp Dream Street is available to oncology patients and their siblings who are on active therapy or those who have completed chemotherapy treatment after August 2014. All children, and their siblings, with chronic hematological diseases, such as sickle cell anemia or hemophilia are eligible to attend.

Medical care at Camp Dream Street
